Vaccinations, Illness and Aesthetics 

It’s that time of year again! FLU clinics are popping up and CVS is sending out daily reminders to get your vaccines. Cold, Flu, Viruses and Bacterial Infections are starting to invade as the temps get colder and HVAC systems begin pumping air through dirty old filters. BUT WAIT THERE”S MORE!!! There’s a lot of research coming out that indicates one should avoid getting their TOX treatment around the same time as ANY vaccination and or ANY illness. It is being proven time and time again to decrease efficacy and diminish one’s response to the antiwrinkle medications. 

I have personally witnessed this phenomena post Covid/FLU Season, and now they are discovering the correlation. This amounts to wasted product, $$$, for your injector and YOU. So if you have received a vaccine or plan to within 2 weeks of your TOX appointment then reschedule your TOX appointment to a later date.  If you’ve been sick or received a vaccine, your immune system has been triggered so reschedule your appointment for at least a week or more. It’s a complicated topic, immunogenicity, antibodies, antigens, hemagglutinin, patient response to this cascade of events etc.
